5th September 2000 |
- New building number (613) allocated for the B186 extension.
|
August 2000 |
- Funding arrangements for the B186 extension agreed at
CCCR meeting. Detailed planning starts with ST division. Construction work
foreseen to start in January 2001 with complete building delivered in
July 2001.
- IT to decide on fire detection/extinction arrangements and
also precise power needs (after ST provide costs for different levels
of supply).
|
March/April 2000 |
- EP abandon idea of external goods lift and
plans for a single
storey, silos only extension to B186 are refined. Costs estimated at
440KCHF for the building and 350KCHF for equipment (false floor,
electrical supply and air-conditioning).
- B186 extension plan accepted by Site Committee and approved by
Jürgen May.
- Go ahead for construction awaits clarification of funding
arrangements.
|
January/February 2000 |
- Consequences of mixing goods lift, silo space and offices in B186
extension become evident. Space is tight for the goods lift and silos
and building costs escalate, partly driven by fire protection
requirements, even with offices on ground
floor.
- Extension above B600 proposed by EP but this has drawbacks.
|
1999 |
- EP request IT to liberate "tape archive" space in B186 for
silicon factory. IT request replacement space to house silos.
- As a goods lift has been requested for B186, suggestion is made to
extend this to provide space for silos. Initial plan for single storey
building provides insufficient space. Once a two storey building is
required, a further extension to the height of B186 is favoured for
aesthetic reasons and offices placed on 3rd floor.
